Germany vs Algeria: Preview and Probable Lineup

Mesut Ozil of Germany

This is the first match between the sides in international arena and nothing but win will be in the mind of both sets of the players as they look for Quarterfinal berth.

Germany were undefeated in their matches of Group stage as they accumulated seven points out of nine to stand in the top of the group table. They started off their World Cup campaign with an impressive 4-0 win over Portugal after Thomas Muller scored a hat-trick. Algeria stood second in their Group behind Belgium, who won all their games in the group stage. They started their World Cup campaign with a 2-1 loss against Belgium even after being on lead via Feghoulli’s spot-kick. They won their second match against South Korea by 4-2 and then ended their group stage by playing a 1-1 draw against Russia, who were also vying for a spot in the knockout stage.
