First-half goals from Emre Can and Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah’s 26th goal of the season from the penalty spot, secured Jurgen Klopp’s side in control. This win sealed their sixth win in eight games in all competitions.
Back from injury, Liverpool’s captain Jordan Henderson, gave a show deserving of the armband, belying his five-week nonattendance. Every concession of ownership or trudging utilization of it was seen as an individual attack.
