Everton substitute Oumar Niasse’s two goal got them into victory against Bournemouth which might confirm a defining moment in the Toffees’ period, says manager Ronald Koeman.
Cries were routing to Joshua King’s luxurious reduced 20-yard coating when Niasse was introduced in the 55th min instead of Wayne Rooney, that had actually earlier been rejected a fine after being captured by Simon Francis’ arm joint.
Niasse hammered the equaliser from a pass by fellow substitute Tom Davies prior to linkeding home the champion from close quarters at Goodison Park.
Rather than a 4th successive league loss, Everton are up to 13th in the table after a second organization win of the period.
“It is a totally different world after winning,” said Koeman. “You have key moments during the season and this was a big win that will give everyone a boost.
“It was a difficult game, we did not create many chances and we took the right decision after 1-0 down to try something different – play two strikers and go more direct.
“More credit to the players – Niasse and Davies. They did a good job after a difficult time.”
