After Monday night’s draw with Everton, Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has set a new record for the longest unbeaten start to a Premier League career

He has now lasted his first 12 Premier League matches without tasting defeat after 1-1 tie at the Etihad. He was substituted at half-time and replaced by Raheem Sterling, who netted the equalizer. Scoring 7 goals with 4 assists, the Brazilian has won 8 of the matches and drawn in four.

The previous record holder was former United midfielders Simon Davies who now is charge of City’s Elite Development Squad. Before leaving for Luton Town in 1997 he made 11 Premier League appearances and avoided defeat in each of the matches.
