Alexandre Lacazette insists that he will succeed on scoring goals on biggest of games where previous striker have failed.
Arsenal £52million record signing has made a faveolus start on his Gunners career on moving from Lyon in the summer.
The French International scored just two minutes into his Premier League debut against Leicester and only a controversial offside decision barred him from rescuing a point at Stoke last weekend.
He has promised to deliver the goals at Anfiled on Sunday where he is likely to spearhead Gunner’s attack to justify his price tag.
‘I’m going to score goals at key times in games where Arsenal may have struggled in previous seasons,’ he told Sky Sports. I’m going to win us games.’
Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, is confident Lacazatte will deliver the goods but is still adapting to the pace of the Premier League. ‘He is still in an adaptation period to the team and to the league,’ Wenger said. ‘He is a bit surprised by the intensity of it all in training and in the games. He will get there because he is brave and he is intelligent.’
