Liverpool have immediately rejected Barcelona’s second and improved bid for their midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
It is understood that Barcelona offered £76.8m upfront with an option of £13.6m add on, making the total deal little more than £90m, however Liverpool have reiterated their stance that Coutinho is not for sale.
The La Liga giants had a £72 m bid rejected early in July and with Neymar sold for world record fee, they strengthen their interested in the 25 years old midfielder.
Coutinho is key figure for Liverpool since arriving from Inter in 2013 has scored 13 goals and made 7 assists last season for the reds.
The playmaker made a new five year deal with the club in January. He is interested to join the Catalan club, however the Brazilian insisted that he would not force the transfer against the club’s decision.
