Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo tells Spanish court that he wants a move back to England. The Portuguese forward appeared in a Spanish to deny that he evaded about £13m in tax while at Madrid.
Ronaldo told the court that he believed he paid more tax than he should since moving to Madrid eight years back.
At one stage during his 90-minute appearance, Ronaldo said: “I never had these problems in England. That’s why I want to go back there.”
Manchester United sold Ronaldo to Real Madrid back in 2009 for £80m. United Manager Jose Mourinho said it would be an impossible mission to sign Ronaldo from Madrid.
United ave distance themselves from any links with Portuguese forward. They play Real in European Super Cup final onTuesday.
