AFC President’s Cup : Three Star Ready for Balkan Clash

AFC President’s Cup final round is starting from Monday in Melacca, Malaysia. Hang Ze Stadium located in Melacca will host the inaugural match where Laxmi Bank Three Star from Nepal and Balkan FC from Turkmenistan will play each other.

The game will start at 2:30PM NST. Nepalese team trained on the same pitch a day before the match. This is the first ever meeting between the clubs which will be vital for Nepalese team said the coach. “I have been watching them for months now and i am hopeful that my players will perform as expected. The climate here is similar to Nepal and we will adjust easily”, said Humagain.

Team Captain Santosh, like coach is too hopeful of this tournament. “We have experience of reaching the semi-final stage in 2005 edition and we’ll be looking to bring the trophy home this time”, said the skipper. The road to final will be easier if Three Star get a point at least against the Turkmenistan powerhouse. “All six teams came through preliminary rounds so all the teams are stronger”, said Balkan Coach Kurbanmamedov Rahim. All the preparations for the tournament is over. The neutral venue is set to stage the final round of AFC’s C grade Nations’ League winners tournament.
