Nepal starts with 7-0 win over Bhutan as all goals were scored in Second half while Pakistan and Afghanistan remain goalless at the end of the match.
Nepal failed to score in the first half of their first group A match played at Dasarath Rangashala. The team under Heman Thapa Magar’s captaincy missed couple of chances in the first half as the half ended goalless.
Highly rated striker that also had made his debut for National team on a friendly match , Bimal Gharti Magar and Nepal U-16 skipper Heman Thapa Magar completed their hattrick in the second half.
Bimal Gharti Magar breaks the deadlock in 49th minute after his shot got the target. Second goal came from Heman Thapa Magar as the captain doubled the mark.
Bimal completed his second goal in 63rd minute after he scored a free header on Bikash Thapa’s cross from the right flank. Gharti completed his hat trick in no time after he made the score 4-0 one minute after his second goal in Shiva’s goal who himself found the net later in the game.
Heman scored in 76th minute and Shiva in 78th minute to make the score 6-0. Heman completed his hat trick from a corner goal as the score remained 7-0. The only threatening shot from Bhutan came in 87th minute by Tenzin whose shot was punched away by goalkeeper.
In the same time, Pakistan played goal less draw with Afghanistan in another match played at Army Ground, Lagankhel.
