FIFA on Friday forced an exchange restriction on Turkish club Trabzonspor, saying it is prohibited from enlisting any new players amid the following transfer window for missing a due date to settle an unpaid exchange expense, APA reports citing Anadolu Agency.
“Following a review of the case, the club were notified of the decision on 29 January 2018, which was subject to payment of an outstanding transfer fee due to AS Trencín of Slovakia within 30 days of being notified about the decision,” FIFA said in an announcement.
“As a result of non-payment to AS Trencín within 30 days, Trabzonspor are banned from registering any new players – either nationally or internationally – for the entirety of the next registration period.”
