Spain’s WC spot safe

The Spanish authorities held converses with FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura  on Monday and are likely to have ensured their country’s spot in Russia.

FIFA had issued a notice to the Spanish Football Federation over government impedance in the decision of the association’s new president and undermined to restrict them from contending at the World Cup.
