Klopp sorry for fan encounter

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp apologized for a squabble with a Swansea City fan amid Liverpool’s 1-0 loss. Klopp’s team saw their 14 games unbeaten Premier League run arrive at an end with the stun crush at the Liberty Stadium on Monday. Liverpool are now placed in fourth with Chelsea moving to third. 

The German said he had responded to a fan urging him amid the conflict, which was settled by a 40th-minute objective from Alfie Mawson. “He was yelling at me constantly,” Klopp said.

“Apologies, I responded one time, I remind myself I am a person and not an expert director who takes that constantly and they can state whatever they need. At a certain point, I said ‘please’. I had not a recorder like you so no one taped it, no one could hear what he said. That is fine. That is the manner by which it is. I have no issue with that.

“I simply had one minute where I thought ‘now, stop’. I don’t know whether we were at that point 1-0 down, I think we were, yet it had nothing to do with it, however sufficiently just.”
