LFP suspends objective line innovation in France after issues

France has suspended the utilization of objective line innovation in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue, the Ligue de Football Professionnel declared on Thursday.

The move comes because of the framework neglecting to flag two objectives in the Coupe de la Ligue on Wednesday,

“The previous evening sadly goal-line technology experienced two genuine breakdowns in the Amiens-PSG coordinate – the GLT didn’t influence the arbitrator’s watch to vibrate and it was the video collaborator who granted the objective – and a moment occurrence in Angers-Montpellier where the GLT wrongly made the official’s watch vibrate,” LFP executive general Didier Quillot said.

The suspension comes after the LFP had just cautioned GoalControl, the organization accountable for the framework, about issues a month ago.
