According to reports in Spain, Mesut Ozil has been permitted by club to find another club in the January transfer window. With a year remaining on his current deal with the Gunners, the Germany International could leave on free transfer next summer.
Arsenal wants to secure the transfer fee for him and Barcelona have been informed that he is available for just €20 million as per the report of Mundo Deportivo
According to the same report ‘direct permission’ have been given to Ozil and his agent Dr Erkut Sogut by Arsene Wenger to negotiate with other club in the upcoming window.
Wenger conceded that he could lose Ozil to another ‘top club’, Speaking after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday. ‘I am convinced Ozil and Alexis Sanchez love the club and love the team, but all the rest will be decided when I don’t really know,’ said the Arsenal manager.
‘I believe they love the club and want to stay, but there are other top clubs out there who offer good contracts as well.’
