Spanish third-level side Ponferradina saw their recent bottom-of-the-league clash against Gimnastica Segoviana. With the match goalless and in the 94th moment,midfielder Andres Rodriguez locked on to a high cross to score what he thought was surely the winning goal of the fixture. However, the official of the game Alvaro Lopez Parra had blown the whistle as Rodriguez dinked the ball over the onrushing Gimnastica goalkeeper.

The Ponferradina players at that point swarmed around the authority arguing that Rodriguez had shot the ball before the l third and last full-time whistle. Unfortunately for them, referee Lopez Parra upheld his original call and the match was officially logged as a 0-0 draw, leaving both sides languishing in the Segunda B relegation zone.

Lopez Parra later disclosed his decision to disallow the goal, claiming that he blew the whistle immediately after he noticed that he had played 17 seconds more that the allotted three minutes added time.
