Roma’s second bid for Mahrez fails

It is understood that Roma’s second bid to sign Mahrez has failed as Leicester reject second bid from the Italian side.

It is understood that the offer was in around for  £27m. Earlier Roma’s bid of  £20m was also rejected by former Premier League champions.

The Algerian international started in both games in Asia Premier League games against West Brom and Liverpool.

Mahrez joined Leicester from French side Le Havre in 2014 which played in French second tier football. He took a starring role for Leicester’s title wining season.

Although Mahrez attracted offers from big clubs in and around him, he decided to stay at the club for one more year and went on to score 10 goals in 48 appearances for the club.
