Barcelona and Argentine forward Lionel Messi will be promoting a campaign aimed at education through sports in Nepal, Bangladesh and Indonesia.

UNICEF, FC Barcelona and ROTA (Reach Out To Asia) have launched a pilot project called ‘1 in 11’ which has been raising funds to provide the marginalized community with education facility. ROTA is a Qatar based social organization and they will run this project in Three countries for now along with UNICEF and FC Barcelona.

UNICEF have said that they will be working with above 250,000 children from the education centers in disadvantaged districts. As per the survey conducted by UNICEF, 1 children out of 11 are deprived of education.The majority of those are from the disadvantaged background and this campaign is aimed to reduce the figures as soon as possible.

Tennis Star Serena Williams is also involved in this program with Lionel Messi as the athletes take part in various campaigns to held UNICEF in social service activities.
