Former Nepal National team player and coach Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Lok Bahadur Shahi are honored with first Sharad Chandra Memorial Football Award amid a program at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.

In a program held at ANFA Complex, former Nepali Internationals were awarded the cash prize of 2.5 laks each. This was also the inauguration of Sarad Chandra Shah Memorial Football Prize named after former Member Sercretary of National Sports Council Sarad Chandra Shah. Kamal Thapa, President of RPP-Nepal and Former-Presidnet of All nepal Football Association was Chief Guest of the program and ANFA President and AFC Vice-President Ganesh Thapa was the chairman. Honourable guests like Member Secretary of Nepal Sports Council Yubaraj Lama, Renu Shah, wife of Lt. Sarad Chandra Shahi and other former member of Nepal Sports Council were present in the program.
The prize will be awarded to Veteran Football personalities who have played or given their comtribution in Nepalese Football in the past and Present. Krishna Thapa, former Nepalese International and Coach of Nepalese National football team was one of the person awarded along with his former teammate Lok Bahadur Shahi.
Both Krishna Thapa and Lok Bahadur Shahi were the part of gold medal winning Nepalese Football side that claimed the tournament title in first SAFF game back in 1984.
