Palestine plays goal less draw against Nepal

Last match of AFC challenge cup has ended as draw after Palestine’s goalie Tawfiq performed wonderfully to deny Nepal’s victory. 

Palestine had 6 points before the match and a draw or win could have send them to Maldives for AFC Challenge Cup. In next side Nepal required minimum of 3-0 win to proceed to next round of AFC Challenge cup.

In First Half both teams had 50-50 chances. Starting 25 minutes was dominated by Palestine while Nepal looked better in later 20 minutes. Both teams missed few opportunities to score in first half. Shot from Iyad hit the cross bar while Sagar Thapa’s and Bharat Khawas’s shot was wonderfully saved by Palestine’s goalie Tawfiq.

Nepal looked impressive in starting minutes of second half. Jumanu’s header in Bharat’s ball was well saved by Tawfiq. Later on both teams worked hard for an opening goal but denied by both keepers in several occasion.

The match was competitive.

Nepal won heart of Home Fans after showing brilliant display tonight.
