Theo Walcott, Arsenal’s longest serving player has signed a new deal to extend his stay with the club. Walcott arrived from Southampton in 2006 and has already racked up 300 appearances for the club despite having much part of his career hampered by injuries. The English international midfielder has scored 76 goals for the North London outfit and is expected to feature in Wenger’s starting lineup.

Along with Walcott, Cazorla also signed an extension that will see him stay for the longer period at the Emirates. The spaniard arrived from Villareal and has been a key figure since then. Speaking on the moment, Wenger was very happy with the players’ decision and said that both the players are hugely important and influential to our squad.”

“As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We’re very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality.”, ended Wenger.
