Pakistan were busy to come back in the game but they were unfortunate not to level the sorrow which they got off the own goal.

India got early in attack as their first three minutes of attack was not fruitful to find the lead. India continued their dominance in both possession but failed to create any attack in their way. India got fortunate as they were gifted the first goal as a result of misunderstanding between Pakistan defending pairs Samar Ishaq and Kamran Khan. Pakistan Samar was unfortunate to direct his head onto his own net in 14th minute of the game.
Team Pakistan looked for the equalizer as the own goal changed the phase of the game. Pakistan initiated attack and looked back for equalizer which they could have got had Indian keeper Subrata Paul not challenged Hasan. Subrata was yellow carded for the challenge which he made outside the keeper’s box.
Pakistan missed couple of goal scoring chances after brilliant Subrata display in the first half. Subrata Paul stopped Pakistan in two different occasions while Hassan’s powerful shot in 35 minutes was denied by the post.
Pakistan started second half with some early chances. Adil who remained superb throughout the game as his first touch right footed shot in Hassan’s cross went off the target before he set up nice pass to Raiz who failed to capitalize the chance. Adil once again made nice move to dribble pass two defenders and found Riaz whose final shot deflected on Indian keeper.
The highly rated Indian striker Sunil Chhetri got his first shot in the game in 64th minute while his shot was blocked by Pakistan keeper Butt. Sunil got another shot on his name as Butt found it difficult to grab the ball on Sunil’s shot from 25 yards.
It was all Sunil Chhetri later in the match who was involved in notable action. Sunil Chhetri made great move in 81st minute as he made good move and his final shot went above the cross bar.
Pakistan was unlucky not to find the chase back after fine display in entire game. They were unfortunate to concede own goal which separated the two teams at the end of the game.
Afghanistan will play Bhutan in the first match while Maldives will face Sri Lanka in the later match fixture tomorrow.
