Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez is keen to make a move away from former Premier League champions by the end of this month.

The Algerian winger handed transfer request at the end of last season and probably will leave the club before the end of this month as clubs from both England and abroad looks interested.

It is believed that so far only Roma has made official offers for the Algerian, however Leicester has rejected two bids from Roma for the midfielder.

Mahrez says he needs to be patience about the situation, “I know Roma came in, but nothing was accepted so there is little I can do. They are a great club who I would like to talk to but I can’t until Leicester accept a deal,” he told Sky Sports News.

“Leicester know my thoughts, but I will continue to give my best for the club as I always have.

“Clearly, it is flattering whenever you get linked with any big clubs, but as it stands, I have not talked to anyone as nobody has had a bid accepted but we nearly have a month left of the transfer window so we will see what happens.”
