Manchester United sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea on a fee expected to be around £40 million. Jose Mourinho reunions with the midfielder who he managed in Chelsea.
The midfielder turns 29 on August 1 and now will fill the void in the deep midfielder for Manchester United. The Serbian played 121 times for the blues and scored in four different occasions.
Matic was the first choice in the league winning season for Antonio Conte as he made 30 appearances for the club.
Matic was seen happy to reunited with Mourinho. Meanwhile Mourinho thanked him for joining the Manchester based club. “I would like to thank him for his desire to join us because without that, it would be impossible to have him here. I am sure our players and supporters will love him. A big welcome to our new number 31.”
Matic added: “I am delighted to have joined Manchester United. To work with Jose Mourinho once again was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.
