Liverpool Football club reject Barcelona’s bid to sign Philippe Coutinho as it is believed that the reds turned down deal expected to be around 70 million pound.

Additionally Liverpool informed the Catalan club that The Brazilian is not for sell. Coutinho is subject to contract with Liverpool until 2022 according to his contract extension with the club back in January. The new contract has no release clause listed which means no club could force the move until Liverpool approves it.

Coutinho who joined from Inter Milan back in 2003 at a minimal 8.5 million pound has established himself as one of the best midfielder in Europe, attracting interests from top clubs like Barcelona and PSG.

Stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour,” Coutinho told ESPN Brasil.

Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more.

“I have a long contract with Liverpool. Speculation is for journalists only.”

Coutinho turned 25 earlier and he has already established himself as one of the best players in Premier League and is only growing better.
