City close on Danilo

Manchester City are close to signing  Danilo from Real Madrid on a deal worth £26.5m.

Chelsea were in talks with Real Madrid to bring the right back who was considered as the second choice for the majority of last season, however it is believed that City have beaten them to sign the Brazilian.

It is believed that Pep Guardiola has not considered Danilo as a back up option to Walkar as he believes Danilo is capable of playing at number of positions. Danilo, who could play as a right back has appeared number of times at left back, a position which Manchester city look to fill.

Danilo started in 19 matches for Real Madrid last season, but it was Dani Carvajal who was preferred in big matches, like in Champions league.
