FIFA has confirmed that they have requested for further investigation on the world record fee of Paul Pogba.

The French midfielder was brought in Manchester United for more than £89.3m from Italian Serie A side Juventus which made him the most expensive player in the history of Football.

A recently trending book in Germany, ‘The Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football’, has reported the huge fees and broke down the deal in different process. The book went popular as it was reported by different journalists from around the world. The book even claimed that Zlatan earned more than double than what Pogba did in Manchester United.

Although FIFA has been keen on this matter, they say this is not formal investigation. A statement from football’s governing body on Tuesday said: “We can confirm that FIFA/TMS has been requesting information on the transfer. We have no further comments at this stage.”

“We don’t comment on contracts. FIFA have had the documents since the transfer in August.” , the Statement continued.
