Keegan impressed with Klopp

Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan admits he’s impressed by the work of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Keegan is convinced Klopp “gets it” as far as Kop culture.

He told the Liverpool Echo: “I think he’s the first manager in a long while who gets Liverpool – he gets the humour, he gets what the fans want. It’s not enough to win at Liverpool, you’ve got to play in a certain way because that’s been the tradition. And that puts a lot more pressure on a manager.

“It’s easy to say you want to play a certain way but you’ve got to get the players to achieve it.

“I think he’s on his way to getting that, he’s not there yet. But he’s signed a six-year deal hasn’t he and I think he should be able to achieve a lot here.

“The ground being bigger will encourage the financial backing which is so vital and I’m a massive fan of his.”
