City invite Liverpool in top 4 clash

Manchester City will host Liverpool in Premier league clash as the two teams battle for their place in the Cham[ions league next season.

Manchester City are in third position, one point clear ahead of forth place Liverpool with a game in hand. With 17 victories in 27 matches, City have 56 points in hand, while Liverpool have played 28 games to ensure 55 points in the league table.

City are yet to secure a victory against Liverpool since August 2014 when came their last victory against the Reds which was at Ethihad. Liverpool have won city 1-0 , 3-0 , 4-1 and 2-1 in their last four meeting as City, recently knocked off from their Champions league last 16 campaign look to bounce back to boost the morale.

City are able to play with their full strength squad with no major injuries while Roberto Firmino and Origi are doubtful for the visiting side. Meanwhile Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge are set to miss the match. Henderson has picked up a foot injury whil Sturridge suffers hip injury. Former Burnely striker Danny Ings is long term absentee.
