Indian women’s team enter the final of the forth women’s SAFF championship in Siliguri after they defeat Nepal 3-1 in the semifinals of the tournament.

The two teams met in the semifinals for the first time in the history of the tournament after meeting in the final of the previous three editions. India defeated Nepal in all meetings to stop them as the runner-ups of the tournaments in all previous editions.

Earlier, Nepal entered the semifinals as the group A winners after winning in all three group stage meetings. Meanwhile India tied in a goal less draw with Bangladesh as they entered the knock out stage as the group runner ups.

Meanwhile Bangladesh hammered group A runner ups Maldives 6-0 to confirm meeting with India in the final of the tournament set to be played on January 4, 2017.
