Bournemouth have signed Republic of Ireland international midfielder Marc Wilson from Stoke City for £2m.

The 28-year-old comes back to Dean Court, where he seethed through two spells on improvement in 2007, having been with Stoke for six seasons.

“Wilson showed up amidst those credit spells and has 177 Premier League excursions to his name, and in like 24th international cap.

We’re satisfied to take Marc back to the club,” President Neill Blake said.

“He’ll add an abundance of experience to Eddie’s cautious choices, having played in the top flight and all around.

“It’s yet more dispute for spots which will help the squad flourish in our second season in the Premier League.”

Wilson is Bournemouth’s seventh new signing amidst the mid year exchange window, taking after the acquisitions of Emerson Hyndman, Nathan Ake, Lys Mousset, Lewis Cook, Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith.

The Cherries opened their Premier League season with a 3-1 home whipping to Manchester United on Sunday, and after that match Howe confirmed his club had an offered perceived by the Potters for Wilson and that he expected that the game-plan would be a custom.
