Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has offered his support to under-weight Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez and demonstrated he is not intrigued by assuming control as manager of the Blancos.
Taking after a strong begin to his time in control at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, Benitez confronted rage from the stands as intense opponents Barcelona whipped his group 4-0 in Saturday’s Clasico.
Madrid president Florentino Perez has called a public interview for Monday evening, where reports in Spain propose he will offer Benitez a vote of certainty in the midst of developing calls for him to be sacked.
Wenger holds Benitez in high respect having come up against him routinely amid the Spaniard’s six-year spell as Liverpool chief.
The Frenchman said Madrid would uncover themselves as “not genuine” in the event that they sack Benitez so soon into his residency and expressed he would be hesitant to work under comparable conditions
