Madrid boss Rafael Benitez slammed for defensive approach after El Clasico humiliation

Real Madrid Manager Rafael Bentiez has received a stick from his fans after playing defensively in 4-0 loss to Barcelona.

In a match which saw Real Madrid conceding four unanswered goals at home against Barcelona, the star man for the opposition barely played his part. Barcelona’s talisman Lionel Messi was not named in the starting lineup and came into the game when Barca were 3-0 up with goals from Suarez, Neymar and Iniesta.

Benitez has already faced his second loss this season after losing to Sevilla before the International break. The loss means Barcelona are now in strong position at the top of the table and with out of form forwards in the team, Real will need to kick on soon if they are to bring the title at Bernanbau. Benitez played his strongest lineup but did not press the ball well and let Barcelona play their game. With Claudio Bravo playing excellent game at the other end, Madrid forward toiled hard but failed to get the outcome.
