Barcelona wonderkid Alen Halilovic could be in the scene of Barca’s first team next season

Judging by the way Halilovic is playing on loan at Gijon in the Liga BBVA, Halilovic might be in contention for a spot in thr first team for Barcelona next season.

Halilovic joined Sporting on loan at the start of the season and has already made eight starts for the team this season. Alen’s impact on the team’s peformance has been immense with the Coatian grabbing two goals and three assists already. Halilovic, operating as the creative hub of the team has helped in settling the possession and is jow a prime asset for the club.

According to the reports in Spain, there was a clause in the loan deal stating that Halilovic must be part of 60% of matches at least which made the move tougher but looking at the way he is playing, the midfielder is the first name to be in the teamsheet. He has been compared to his fellow countrymen Luka Modric in recent years and looking at the way he plays, he might be able to achieve that feat, if not better.
