Title challengers and city rivals Manchester United and Manchester City play each other in season’s first Manchester Derby to be played in Old Trafford.

Manchester United vs Manchester City : Match Preview and Starting LineupsManchester United are expected to field Michael Carrick and Morgan Schneiderlin in the center of midfield with Bastian Schweinsteiger dropping to the bench. Juan Mata was rested in UEFA Champions League match against CSKA and will be drafted into the right side of attacking midfield. With Luke Shaw out injured and not available for rest of the season, Matteo Darmian will sneak back into the right back position while Marcos Rojo will start out wide. Ashley Young’s injury means Anthony Martial is expected to play wide in left with Ander Herrera taking the number 10 role just behind skipper Wayne Rooney. Patrick McNair is injured and English duo Chris Smalling and Phil Jones will play in hear of defense.

Manchester City are going into the match without their star forward Sergio Aguero. The Argentine International is City’s top scorer and Wilfired Bony will play in his stead up front to keep their striking options open.Gael Clichy is out injured and Aleksander Kolarov will continue to play out left with either of Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta operating as right back. Fabian Delph is recovering from the injury he sustained in his debut and will not play any part until next month. David Silva is doubtful for the match and Pellegrini will assess the Spanish Maestro ahead of the match to see if he can play or not. Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling will swap constantly in the attacking left and center position if Silva is absent while Navas will start wide right. Fernandinho and Yaya Toure will partner in the center of the field.
