Andrea Pirlo out injured for Italy’s final qualifiers match against Norway

Andrea Pirlo has returned to New York after picking up injury in International duty with Italy in EURO 2016 Qualifiers.

The former Juventus midfielder was with the team for the qualifiers but has been sent back to US after he was set to miss the qualifiers. In his absence, Ricardo Montolivo will play in the midfield along with Roberto Soriano and Antonio Florenzi. Antonio Conte will deploy three men defense with two wingbacks in form of Matteo Darmian and Mattia De Sciglio, the formation Conte successfully used when he was in charge of Juventus.

Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Girogio Chiellini will play in the defense. The Juventus trio played well under Conte in club level and will be trying to do the same in the National level as well. Juventus and Italian skipper Gianluigi Buffon will play in between the sticks.

Graziano Pelle of Southampton and Eder will partner up in the striking position. The Italian International has been a hit for Saints second season running as he lately scored the winner against Chelsea in the Premier League.
