Dele Alli in line to be handed first England start against Lithuania friendly

Teenage sensation Dele Alli could be handed his first ever England senior cap as he prepares to partner Jono Shelvey in midfield for England.

After registering 2-0 win over Estonia in a friendly, ENgland Manager Roy Hodgson is set to hand debut to Dele Alli. Also, he will include Jamie Vardy in the starting lineup after the foward came on as substitute to provide assist in second goal in the previous match. Elsewhere, Jack butland starts on goal with Kyle Walker and Ryan Bertrand set to be named in wing back positions.

Harry Kane will lead the attack along with fellow Spurs winger Andros TOwnsend in the wing. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain will support Kane in the atacking third while Jonjo Shelvey and Alli will handle the defensive midfield. Manchester United’s Phil Jones will partner with Phil Jagielka in the center half with Jags wearing the captain’s armband for the first time for senior national team.
