Everton are in fine form this season and there have not been much chnages in the team’s attacking unit in the transfer window.

Romelu Lukaku Ross Barkley Everton

When Everton decided to spent £28millions on Romelu Lukaku in summer of 2014 after a successful loan spell from Chelsea a season earlier, not many expected Lukaku to not be successful. The striker was in great form with the team and had gelled up well in the squad so good that he decided to swap Chelsea for Everton. With Roberto Martinez also keen on move, the deal happened but the expectations were shattered.

Lukaku failed to emulate his success from previous season and the club, manager and the player himseld recieved a lot of stick from the fans. But the manager always knew that with age on his side, Lukaku can improve himself and always stood by with a lot of faith. Everton relied on attacking prowess of Ross Barkley for much part that season but this season everything looks to be set for Martinez. Lukaku has been firing goals when needed and with Arouna Kone back to full fitness from injury, the club has been getting the results.

Lukaku has scored goals as well as linked up with Barkley to create a attack that opposition would be aware of going into the match. If the same performs continues, Lukaku could step to the next level and Everton will find hard to accept that fact in seasons to come.
