Despite playing only seven top flight matches, Spurs midfielder Dele Alli has been called up into the English squad for upcoming friendlies.

The 19 year old midfielder, who joined Spurs from MK Dons last winter has been playing very well for Spurs. Alli’s performance for the team has not gone unseen as the midfielder has been called up for England Senior Squad. Alli was part of England U21 team just a month ago and might make his debut for senior side when the English team play friendly after a week.

England are due to face Estonia on October 9 and will play against Lithuania on October 12. Along with Alli, Liverpool’s new acquisition Danny Ings has also been named in the squad. With England’s qualification for EURO 2016 already secured, Hodgson is preparing to create a better squad for the finals next year. Daniel Sturridge misses out of the squad due to injury and Hodgson has said that the striker will be included in Novemeber squad so that he can get time to regain full fitness.
