After losing out the previous leg by 2-1 to Slovakia, Spanish manager Vicente Del Bosque is under a huge pressure to register a win and is aware of Slovakia’s defensive approach.
When Slovakia met Spain in the previous EURO 2016 Qualifier match, Diego Costa started up front as a lone striker and he was lost inside the defensive unit of Slovakia. Slovakia defended well throughout the match and looked dangerous on counter attack, the scoreline of 2-1 at the end did not signify the match but the three points stayed home for Slovakia and it mattered the most.
Del Bosque has said that he is aware of Slovakia’s defensive approach and the team is ready to break any kind of defense and will field the team as per his own plans. He is likely to field two forwards in form of Pedro and Costa, who now play together in Chelsea.
Probable Starting Lineup: (4-3-3)
Iker Casillas
Cesar Azpilicueta – Gerard Pique – Sergio Ramos – Jordi Alba
Santi Caozrla – Sergio Busquets – Andres Iniesta
Pedro Rodriguez – Diego Costa – David Silva
