Kevin De Bruyne then scored a second half brace to hammer the champions. Juan Bernat got the only goal for Bayern in the 55th minute.

Team News:

Bayern will be without Franck Ribery, Holger Badstuber and Jan Kirchhoff for this match as the trio is sidelines with injury. New signing Arturo Vidal might feature for the bench as he has not linked up with the squad yet. Center backs Dante, Medhi Benatia and Javi Martinez are all lacking fitness and are doubtful to start. Arjen Robben is also expected to feature from the bench with no risks taken ahead of the season. Guadriola will play either of Mario Gotze and Douglas Costa ahead of the match.

Wolfsburg are sweating on the fitness of last season’s heroes Bas Dost and Kevin De Bruyne and might not risk the duo from the start. Luiz Gustavo is not fully fit and might start from the bench.
