Southampton vs Vitesse: Match Preview – UEFA Europa League Qualifier

Vitesse visit England to play against Southampton in an UEFA Europa League playoff match.

Southampton and Vitesse are playing each other for the first time in International fixture. Both these teams have been involved in Pre-Season friendlies as the sides look forward to participating in Europa League.

In the last five friendlies, Saints have won three while lost two, 1-0 against Valencia and 2-0 at Salzburg. Vitesse on the other hand have been undefeated in all five pre-season friendlies.

Southampton have been highly active in Transfer Window with incoming as well as outgoings. Juanmi from Malaga, Cedric Soares from Sporting Lisbon, Cuco Martina from Twente and Jordy Clasie from Feyenoord are the signings made by Koeman. Saints have also loaned in Steven Caulker from QPR and Martin Stekelenburg from Fulham. Elsewhere, Nathaniel Clyne has joined Liverpool while Morgan Schneiderlin will play from Manchester United.

Vitesse on the other hand will acquire services of Danilo Pantic from Chelsea. Vitesse have sold Marko Vejinovic to Feyenoord on an undisclosed fee.
