Sergio Ramos will be a Real Madrid player for next season as Manchester United have left their pursuit on signing the defender.

Sergio Ramos to snub Manchester City and Arsenal to join Manchester United in this transfer window

Louis Van Gaal’s attempt to land Sergio Ramos has ended in a worst note as the defender is closing in on a new deal with Real Madrid. Amid rumors that United were preparing a bid to sign Spanish International defender, Real Madrid stepped up and offered a new deal which is set to be signed within this week. The deal also includes a pay rise and handing captaincy to Ramos. Ramos earlier expressed his dissatisfaction on the Real Madrid board as he openly spoke about the possibility of departure from the Spanish capital.

Ramos’ rejection means United will now eye on Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia and as per the reports in Spain, Valencia are keen to hold their prized asset and will sell him next season if needed.
