Arsene Wenger is poised to strengthen his midfield and is said to be watching William Carvalho closely.
After Morgan Schneiderlin signed for Manchester United rejecting Arsenal’s approach, Wenger was desparate to sign Arturo Vidal but the Frenchmen has been left red faced yet again as the Chilean International opted to return to Germany. Vidal, who previously played for Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga has signed for their rivals Bayern Munich and will now play under Pep Guadriola. The move means Wenger and co are now watching William Carvalho as their target men to bolster their squad.
Carvalho, who is now playing second year straight in Sporting Lisbon first team is said to be optimistic on a move to Premier League and with Arsenal’s rcord with youth players going good, this could be best move for the portugese. With Wenger very keen to bolster his defensive midfield, the physicality and technical ability of the youngster could prove to be handy.
