Manchester City’s summer transfer signing Fabin Delph to miss upto four weeks with hamstring injury against Real Madrid.

Just into 20 minutes of his Manchester City debut, Fabian Delph was carried out of the field in a stretcher to be replaced by Jesus Navas. Delph pulled his hamstring muscle while going in for a tackle against Modric in the 18th minute and the physio had to take him out of the game. With Raheem Sterling starting his City career with a goal just couple of days ago, Delph couldn’t have had worse start with his new club.

City went on to lose the game 4-1 as Real Madrid ran riot over new look Manchester City. The center back pairing of 16 year old Humphreys and 20 year old Jason Denayer could not hold on to firepower of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo as the Spanish giants scored 3 goals in the first half. City also gave debut to Jason Roberts, the English teenager signed from Fulham played for last 10 minutes and is expected to be loaned out for the next season.
