Italian International striker Ciro Immobile will join Sevilla on a season long loan after an agreement between the clubs.

Sevilla complete transfer of Ciro Immobile from Borussia Dortmund

Sevilla have completed signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile on a season long loan today. The 25 year old Italian International joined Borussia Dortmund just a season ago but since then has struggled to settle in the team. With just 3 goals from 24 competitive matches under Jurgen Klopp, newly appointed coach Tuchel chose to loan out the striker after the team’s failure to get into UEFA Champions League.

A statement on the Spanish club’s official website read: “Ciro Immobile will play at Sevilla FC in the 2015-16 campaign after the agreement reached between the Nervion club [Sevilla] and Borussia Dortmund, where the Italian forward, who hails from Torre Annunziata, in the vicinity of Naples, has played the past season.”

Sevilla boss Unai Emery said that the replacement of Bacca was imminent and the signing of Immobile is a way forward for the club as they look forward to play in the UEFA Champions League.
