Iker Casillas to join Porto as Real Madrid edge closer for David De Gea transfer

David De Gea’s arrival at Real Madrid means Iker Casillas will be joining FC Porto as Madrid continue negotiation with Manchester United.

Real Madrid are closing in on transfer deal of David De Gea from Manchester United as Iker Casillas awaits for a move to FC Porto. Madrid board made it clear that only one of these Spanish International will be with the club and for what has been heard of, De Gea is said to have put his house on sale at Manchester as the clubs sit to discuss a fee. Madrid are said to be giving 25 million but Manchester United are asking as much as 35 million for the transfer.

On the other hand, FC Porto have made contacts with Real Madrid over Iker Casillas’ future and the board has green signalled for the leave. However, Casillas’ wage could be a stumbling block for the deal and Madrid would need to pay extra money to send Casillas off to Portugese club.
