Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne could be on his way to English Premier League as Wolfsburg near transfer deal with Manchester City.

Manchester City closing in on Kevin De Bruyne transfer after end of Raheem Sterling pursuit

Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost and Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is nearing on a return to Premier League as Manchester City are pondering a transfer move for Wolfsburg’s attacking midfielder. De Bruyne, who joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea last season could cost City more than double what Wolfsburg paid for De Bruyne. However, there is still a slim chance that De Bruyne will stay in Germany if the midfielder accepts pay rise from the DfB Pokal Champions.

Manchester City are said to be eying on a move for De Bruyne after their 40 million pounds bid for Raheem Sterling did not come good. City have reportedly stopped their pursuit for Sterling and could make an opening bid of 35 million pounds for De Bruyne. The Belgian midfielder was awarded Player of the Season and could be hit at Manchester City as he looks to be Manuel Pellegrini’s ideal target.
