Christian Benteke to complete Liverpool transfer to end Brendan Rodgers’ summer spending spree.

Liverpool are aiming to end their transfer window on a high by capturing signature of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

Belgian International Forward Christian Benteke is said to be on the verge of signing for Liverpool FC from Aston Villa. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested in the forward but have not made any official bid. Since departure of Luis Suarez in last season, Liverpool looked bleak in attack with none of the forwards firing more than three goals.

With the inclusion of Benteke, there might be some changes in the Anfield attack line. Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli could both leave while Roberto Firmino, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho will all start for the reds. Benteke is one of the few inclusions in this transfer window. Liverpool already signed Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton and Roberto Firmino from Hoffeheim. Danny Ings also joined on a free transfer from Burnley.
