Turan to become fifth Atletico Madrid based player as Chelsea transfer nears

Turkish midfielder Arda Turan is on the verge of transfer to Chelsea as Mourinho strengthens squad for new season.

Arda Turan could be fifth Atletico Madrid based player for Chelsea as the midfielder is in line to join Mourinho’s squad. Chelsea are said to have agreed transfer fee with Atleti but Turan is still in talks with Chelsea over agreement of personal terms and that could soon be completed. With arrival of Radamel Falcao on loan from Atletico Madrid, the no. of players based in Atleti had risen to five.

Brasil born Spanish International Diego Costa and Brazilian International left back Filipe Luis joined Chelsea in last transfer window while Chelsea loaned out their current first choice goalekeeper Thibaut Courtois on loan for two seasons, one in which the club won the league title. The move means Mourinho might be forced to sel either of Mohamed Salah or Juan Cuadrado as both seem to have their future insecure at Stamford Bridge.
