Nepalese International Striker Bimal Gharti Magar has been invited by Club Brugge of Belgium.
The 18 year old striker who trained with Dutch clubs Ajax Amsterdam and FC Twente in previous occasions is leaving for Belgium on Sunday. Bimal also trained with fellow Belgian club Genk few months ago. No contract talks were discussed in previous occasions as the age bar for professional contract was not fulfilled.
Bimal, who captained the U-16 side in SAFF Championship and AFC Championship has already made few starts and scored a goal in Senior level. Bimal was impressive in the recently held FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against India but did not bag any goals.
The visit is said to be for training purpose but in case Bimal suceeds to impress the coaches, there might be chance for trial as well. Bimal’s progress in Club Brugge will determine his fate for the squad selection of upcoming International Friendly match against India in India on 31st August.
